Köstrejärve alder – this exceptionally big common alder grows at the beginning of Tornimäe nature trail, on the shore of Lake Köstrejärv. Alders usually live for 100-150 years, but some of them manage to survive for 200, or even 300 years. The alder likes to grow on a wet ground, it prefers having its ‘toes’ in the water. |
